MDF Shutters

Contrary to old beliefs about MDF, our MDF shutters are manufactured to the highest standards, using a multi-layered paint finish with three ‘white’ shade options: Silk White, Bisque and Pearl.

The Lancaster range of MDF shutters uses high-end Medium Density materials, all of which is made using pulped shavings from the manufacture of our timber shutters, meaning eco-friendly manufacturing techniques.

We fit our Lancaster range throughout many properties and always recommend the range when the application involves a lot of traffic such as French doors, patio doors, children’s play rooms etc. The Lancaster range is easily cleaned by simply wiping-off with a damp cloth, making it practically maintenance free.

Unless completely trained in aspects of shutters, most people are completely unaware of the aesthetic differences between wooden and MDF shutters. The MDF shutter is slightly heavier and therefore more robust than the timber shutters, making them ideal for the applications mentioned.

As well as this, the Lancaster range is available in Tier-on-Tier applications (maximum 2 bi-folding panels). We also make doors and full-height panels in the highly robust material too.

The Lancaster range is available with all the same options as our wooden Plantation ranges. 47, 63 and 89mm louvers, Central, offset and Hidden tilt rod options (HTR not available with 47mm louvers), our overlapping astragal closures and the wide-range of frame style options including the popular Vintage L-Frame, Bay and corner posts, the Zenith L-Frame and T-Post applications.

So with great looks, the same multi-functionality of wooden shutters and a budget price tag to boot, the Lancaster range is a first-class option when considering shutters throughout your home.
