Shutter Louvre Options

Our wooden shutters have 4 louvre options. Each louvre is individually manufactured and then carefully put into place and fixed into the panel using spring-loaded high-impact composite sleeves and inserts to extend the durability of the louvre and make the tilting action smooth. In the instance of a broken louvre, we are able to match perfectly and replace should this occur.

47mm Shutter Louvre

Starting with the 47mm, this, our smallest louvre of the group is used in all window and door applications and is usually decided upon on-site. Due to its size, we are unable to offer the Hidden Tilt-rod option with the 47mm louvre.

63mm Shutter Louvre

The 63mm louvre is probably the most popular and is a great choice for all sized openings, still offering maximum light during the day and blackout at night. The HTR can be applied to the 63, 89 and 114mm louvre and is fixed at the back/side of the louvres. The rod has an amount of ‘play’ on the fitting to insure smooth tilt action.

89mm Shutter Louvre

The 89mm louvre is great for large windows and door applications. This louvre allows maximum light and looks truly impressive when used in large room applications. The 89mm louvre is available with both Central, offset and hidden tilt-rod options.

114mm Shutter Louvre

Also available with all tilt-rod options is the massive 114mm louvre. Used primarily in large frontal openings and top-tracking applications.

Riverside also offers a solid-raised panel option and even a mix of louvre and solid panels. This application is sometimes used in room dividers, using one-half (lower) in Solid raised panels and the upper panels in louvres.
