Riverside Shutters has experience in attaching shutters to all types of existing framework. So if you have UPVC windows and are concerned about possible fixing problems, then just ask our surveyor to explain when we are on-site. In fact, fixing to UPVC is many time easier and hassle free than with older timber frames, where age and continued re-decoration have made the framework out of true, which extends the fitting time.

These small irregularities are easily overcome by our highly qualified fitters who have years of experience in fitting shutters to out-of-true frameworks.

We are able to fit all frame types to UPVC as well as to Timber and aluminium frames.

Where the framework is not an fixing option, we also fix ‘sideways’ into the recess and up into steel/concrete RSJ’s for example when fixing our top-track systems.

The frames we use come with a cover-strip for the facia of the frame, covering all fixings and when fixing into the frame from the sides, we use matching screw caps that are also hidden away behind the panels.

In all, the fixing process is key to making your shutters fit and work perfectly, another job that Riverside takes pride in.
